seattle: part 3

olympic national park now tops the list as our favorite national park.

probably because this area contains such a wide range of terrain. the diversity really is incredible.

i couldn't leave you hanging without giving you the highlights from the rest of our trip last august.

we left port ludlow with a rental car full of camping gear and the kind of excitement and

freedom you always feel at the beginning of a road trip.  

 

our first stop was sequim, washington

fields and fields of lavender surrounded this coffee shop, so i was not surprised to discover
their most recommended drink was a lavender latte.

i was surprised to discover i loved the refreshing crispness the lavender added. yum.

if you've never had one, you got to try it!



 

we reached our destination a few hours later and went on my favorite hike to date.

as you can see, the views were simply gorgeous.

we returned to set up camp and enjoy the fresh crab that kyle's aunt packed for us.

by far the best dinner i've had while camping!
